Arranging, in ascending order, the prices of gold per gram of the 8 days given above, we have
25, 28, 30, 31, 32, 37, 39 and 40
31 + 32/2 = 31.5
Arranging, in ascending order, the prices of silver per kilogram of the 8 days given above, we have
400, 410, 430, 440, 445, 450, 465 and 475 Thus, the median is the average of the 4th and 5th values
440 + 445/2 = 442.5
Thus, the required ratio
31.5 /442.5
= 0.071 > = 1/20 =0.05
A is the answer
