Here

5 and 4 are the smallest number because if it reduced further it will be non-integers, which are not possible

Therefore smallest garden club members = 5 men + 4 women = 9 garden club members

Hence QTY A < QTY B

Let, No of men = 5a

So, No of women = 4a

Here, a is the multiplying factor.

Total members of the garden club = 5a + 4a = 9a

a = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 .........(integers)

Smallest number of members = 9*1 = 9

Answer : B

men/women = 5/4
=> men = 5/4 * women
The minimum possible number of women would be 4 as any number less than 4 makes the number of men a fraction which is not accepted.

So, men = 5/4 * 4 = 5

men + women = 5 + 4 = 9 < 20; B is greater
