For each line, let's apply the slope formula using the given coordinates AND (0, 0), the coordinates of the origin.
QUANTITY A: The slope of a line passing through (–3, –4) and the origin
Slope = (-4 - 0)/(-3 - 0) = -4/-3 = 4/3 ≈ 1.33
QUANTITY B: The slope of a line passing through (–5, –6) and the origin
Slope = (-6 - 0)/(-5 - 0) = -6/-5 = 6/5 = 1.2
We get:
QUANTITY A: ≈ 1.33
QUANTITY B: 1.2
Answer: A
