The sum of a series of numbers is = (number of terms) * (mean of the first and last term).
When the range is inclusive, remember that the number of terms = (first term) - (last term) + 1.
Quantity A
number of terms = 51 - 21 + 1 = 31
mean of the first and last term = (51+21)/2 = 36
sum = 31 * 36 = 1116
Quantity B
number of terms = 49 - 24 + 1 = 26
mean of the first and last term = (49+24)/2 = 36.5
sum = 26 * 36.5 = 949
Since 1116 > 949, Quantity A is greater.
