Oh I am sorry. By mentioning B, I was actually pointing C.
It might be confusing, so let me be rectify my second answer again.
Answer choice C is more likely about structure of the passage and E seems concluding passage. I failed to pick C over E, so please clarify difference between answer choice C and E. What made me fall into this?

This is a question about the role of the portion/words highlighted

Now the refrigerant, as a high-pressure, cooled liquid, confronts a flow restriction which causes the pressure to drop. As the pressure falls, the refrigerant expands and partially vaporizes, becoming chilled.

The role of the portion is to explain HOW the refrigerate goes from high pressure to lower pressure and then , as a result, becoming cooler

22. According to the passage, the role of the flow restriction in a heat pump is to

(A) measure accurately the flow rate of the refrigerant mass at that point
(B) compress and heat the refrigerant vapor

(C) bring about the evaporation and cooling of refrigerant

Correct

(D) exchange heat between the refrigerant and the air at that point
(E) reverse the direction of refrigerant flow when needed

I have confusion on questions 4 and 5.

For question 4, Didn't advertisers make an exaggerated claim that defied the principle of energy (which is stated in the first para)? So why isn't the answer A?

For question 5, Why can't B be the answer? As stated in the last para, the greatest drawback of the heat pump is that it doesn't work well when it is really cold outside (i.e. when it is most needed)

It's weird when the most answer is C, so u start to doubt yourself and read again and take more time.
