The wealthy donor was known for his annual acts of (i)_____ throughout the community, but even more (ii)_____ was the fact that he was willing to get his hands dirty and serve the needy through hard physical labor as well as through (iii)_____ and gifts.
The highlighted words indicate that he was generous and hence the word is largesse. The word quality does not make sense, and legacy, though tempting, is not supported by the clues.
The phrase "even more" suggests a greater act than the acts of largesse and we are also told he served the needy through physical labour and getting his hands dirty.
So his actions were praiseworthy or laudable.
The word disquieting means inducing worry or anxiety and is the exact opposite of what we are looking for. And it is not clear why the act is inexpressible when we can definitely express it as laudable.
The last part of the sentence says that he served the needy through physical labour and gifts. For the last blank thanks to the "and", we need a word which comes close to "gifts". The word is endowments. Effort and handiwork are not near synonyms of gifts.
The choices are C, D and H.
