Apart from solving the question, I don't exactly understand the meaning of the question.
Here we 30 pens and 6 colors. Hence there are 5 pens per color. Now the worst case scenario is we pick 4 pens from each color ie 24 pens and still not have 5 pens of a single color.
Hence the number of pens to be selected for 5 pens of one color is 24+1 = 25.
