Three consecutive integers, having a sum of − 51
\(a - 1 , a , a + 1\) & sum = \(-51\)
\(a = -17\)
Nos are = \(-18 , -17 , -16\)
Qt A = \(-18\)
Qt B > Qt A
Answer B

\(a = -17\)

Let x = the smallest integer
So, x + 1 = the next integer
And x + 2 = the last integer
Since the three numbers add to -51, we can write: (x) + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = -51
Simplify: 3x + 3 = -51
So: 3x = -54
Solve: x = -18
So we have the following:
QUANTITY A: -18
QUANTITY B: -17
Answer: B
