TOEFL Listening and Speaking Section to Include Other English AccentsHi folks
This is an important announcemet made by ETS regarding English Accents.

TOEFL will now include English accents from other English Speaking countries. Following change was made to TOEFL Listening and Speaking Sections.Beginning in March 2013, the Listening and Speaking sections of the TOEFL iBT test include other native-speaker English accents in addition to accents from North America. You may hear accents from the United Kingdom, New Zealand or Australia.ETS is adding these accents to better reflect the variety of native English accents you may encounter while studying abroad.
Below are examples similar to what you might hear in the Speaking and Listening sections.

greenhouse_effectOne one hand, if you are a person that lives in US for a while maybe you have not difficulties; on the other hand, if you are not a native speaker maybe you have no problem with US english \(BUT\) for instance Australian english could be a problem. I know native speakers when they listen to this example video, then they get in trouble to understand
