√9 = 3
√16 = 4
Since 12.5 is BETWEEN 9 and 16, √12.5 must be between 3 and 4
We can say that √12.5 = 3.something
We get:
QUANTITY A: 3.something + 3.something
QUANTITY B: 5
We can see that Quantity A is greater.
Answer: A

The solution given is wrong as it is clearly evident that the A= 2*sqrt(12.5) which is 7 and B=5.
The answer should be A.
