Let us think numbers are 1 and 9, 2 and 8, 3 and 7, 6 and 4 and 5 and 5. Now checking only 6,4 works for the inequalities.... Thats why ans A.

\(x + y = 10\) & \(37 < 5x + 2y < 41\)
\(2x + 2y = 20\) _________(1)
\(37 < 3x + 2x + 2y < 41\)
By putting the value from eq(1)
\(37 < 3x + 20 < 41\)
\(17 < 3x < 21\)
\(x\) is an integer so only value that suffices this inequality is \(x = 6\) So \(y = 4\)

Answer A
