Angles in a triangle must equal 180. Additionally, angles on a straight line will always equal 180. Therefore the third angle inside the triangle must be 180-3a.
So, angles in the triangle must be: a + b + (180-3a) = 180 a + b + 180 - 3a = 180 b - 2a = 0 b = 2a
