This problem asks you to convert a percentage to a number. Given that $\(57.4\) \%$ of accidents were non-related to weather, this tells you that $\(42.6\) \%$ of accidents were weather related. First calculate the total number of accidents from the data on the chart:

$$
\(\begin{aligned}
& .426 \cdot total =175 \text { accidents } \\
& total =\frac{175 accidents }{.426}=410.8 accidents
\end{aligned}\)
$$

The closest answer shown is 410, so the correct answer choice is D. You can double-check your answer: $\(410 \cdot .426=174.66\)$ which rounds to 175 .
