before to attempt such question would be wise to know firmly the number theory. As such, you could solve in 20 seconds

\(x^5-x^3>0\)

\(x^3(x^2-1)>0\)

We do know now that

\(x^3>0\) to be >0 it must be positive

\(x^2>1
\)

To be >1, x could be positive or negative as well.

From the overlapping of the two we do know that x could be >0 or <0 NOT <-1
