Hello everybody,
Very silly and simple question right here. I'm giving GRE in a few days and just wanted to clear out a small problem from my head.
Image you are given:
A = 2
B = y
and there are some equations regarding y that are given. In the end you find that the possible values for y are {2,3,4,5}
Do you answer <Quantity B is greater>, or do you answer <The relationship cannot be determined from the information given> ?
I have done dozens of prep tests and hundreds of exercises, yet haven't encountered a corner case like this.
Logically, the answer must be that the relationship cannot be determined, because there are 3 cases where the answer is B, and one case where the answer is <The two quantities are equal>. I guess <Quantity B is greater> actually means <Quantity B is strictly greater>... Right?

Yes they mean Quantity B (or Quantity A) is srtictly greater.
