We are given that \(\frac{a}{b} = \frac{2x}{3x}\)
Multiply the ratio by 2 such that it becomes \(\frac{a}{b} = \frac{4x}{6x}\)
Now on the addition of 4 to both A and B, the ratio becomes \(\frac{5x}{7x}\) which means that \(x = 4\)
The difference between the numbers is \(6x - 4x = 2x = 2 \times 4 = 8\)
