Quick Answer: I’d try to find an internship that’s related to what you hope to do post-grad. If you’re not 100% sure what you’d like to do, I’d recommend having some informational interviews with people doing work that sounds interesting to you so you can narrow your focus. You don’t necessarily need to take extra courses. The idea is that grad school will fill your skill gaps. You do need enough exposure to your chosen field, however, to be able to make a strong argument for your post-grad career goals – especially since your argument for why you need the degree rests on those.
