To answer the question we should show that a weaker pesticide is also effective. Answer choice C show this the best by the experience in other parts of the world

Can someone please explain C in a more reasonable manner?

I was initially going to choose it until I read the question more carefully:

Question conclusion states: Thus, there is no effective means for eradicating bedbugs in the United States.

Answer C: Some treatments that do not include DDT have proven effective against bedbugs in other parts of the world.

The first part of the answer does indeed weaken the conclusion, however, the geographic location (NOT United States) should disqualify it as the correct answer, shouldn't it?

The United States is part of the world.

The United States + the rest of the world.

IF the pesticides NOT work in US but WORK in the rest of the world, then there is no effective means for eradicating bedbugs in the United States. is weakened.

Hope this helps.
