Re: Analyze an Issue - Companies hire outside consultants to.. [#permalink]
Hi guys,i am new to this
So can u rate my essay too
Experts suggest that a consultant would help the company to achieve the goals they want to. But what does a consultant actually do? As everyone has a different viewpoint, the definition of a consultant in the company varies accordingly. The job of these people is to consult the company employees and keep them focused so they can reach new heights of success.
If the employees were able to do the job of a consultant then why would any company even need one? Companies spend a lot of money on them because they have to advise the company and also to increase communication between the head of the company and the employees. An advisor has to collect all the company's information and see which way they are going to suggest a new pathway for them. That is definitely not an easy job for one person to do. Like a doctor who studies the history of their patients to know the cause of the pain, a consultant also has to go through the history of the company to know the faults or in which skills the company is lacking.
However in this case the employees work efficiently. Also, the communication between the employees and the higher-ups would be much easier.
But if the company doesn't hire a consultant, the employees will have one more job to do other than the job they were hired for. They have to give their suggestions directly to their bosses which may or may not be seen by them. For instance, suppose a company is losing money and the employees think maybe the expenses have increased so they reduce the quality of the material which had no benefit on them. But if there was a consultant then he/she would have suggested that maybe the method is wrong, or what if they just to needed a find way to increase their quality rather than deducing it. Now in this case, if the head of the company had listened to the consultant then they may have stopped losing their money.
Now you must be thinking that what I am trying to say is that the employees don't have strong viewpoints. But what I am trying to say is exactly the opposite of it. An employee has a lot of work to do. They have to manage their own work and also have to guide and help the people under them and in addition to that, they have to give new ideas and suggestions to their higher-ups to lead the company in the right direction. But with all this work and projects, they will be too tired to think of anything else other than sleeping. For a company to go in the right direction of success, the ideas must be fresh and new and must be acceptable to everyone. A tired body leads to a tired brain and it results in no ideas. A consultant will be much more helpful to the company.
Now, what would a consultant bring to the company? He/She will bring new ideas to the company along with a new vibe and positive energy to it. They will go according to the trend in the society and will contribute to the growth of the company. They can also advise the employees on how to improve their job performance and also help them to guide their team sometimes. The consultant can also help the company take a big step and also help them to go through a drastic change. If the company has some failure at some point in time then they would also help them to go through it and get back on their feet to work efficiently and learn from their mistakes.
So, according to me. a consultant is much needed in a company along with hardworking employees.
