Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position
A leader is someone who is always under scrutiny . People have very high expectations and they expect the leader to deliver every time. Neville Chamberlain the British prime minister and a Conservative leader , was responsible for introduction of laws regarding slums, holidays with pays act etc. But, the history remembers him in some other way. He was at the helm , when the second war broke out and inspite of his efforts to broker peace with Hitler, UK had to jump in war. The initial losses and Norway's liberation failure forced him to resign and make way for Churchill.
If we carefully analyze his actions, he had made sound moral judgements with country in his thoughts. But his failure in the war, denied him the respect he deserved from his peers. They questioned him for presenting a weaker image of the nation instead of understanding the motive to sit out a war which had exacted toll on his countrymen.
