We do have to independent cluses
It is unsurprising that the recent (i)___________of historical novels is due to the fragmenting of some of our traditional historical narratives.
The meaning of the sentence is that: it comes with NOT surprised that the novels have a new trend towards new directions due to a fragmentation. I do not know what that means but is not important whatsoever
So void means empty and want is out of scope. Pretty clear. The answer must be rash
New documents have acted as amplifiers for heretofore unheard voices, and many authors have (ii)___________the opportunity to turn a light toward some of the darker corners of the past.
New documents contribute so far A LOT of the trend above, pushing in voices that before the fragmentation were not heard. Therefore, MANY authors have to discover things from the past which were unknown
So, many authors recognized this great opportunity
Hope this helps
