As any visitor to Claude Monet's final home at Giverny can __________, Japanese prints were the artist's passion: his home overflows with works by Hiroshige, Utamaro, and other Japanese masters.

(D) rectify
(E) invalidate

The statement after colon suggests that Claude Monet's home was overflowing, so the visitors should be able to confirm or attribute that. Hence, attest is the correct word.
