“Hubristic” means arrogant—a “hubristic” person would never decline an opportunity for bragging, or bombast. Augmentation (the action of making or becoming greater in size or amount) is not quite right; greater “size or amount” is not exactly indicated by the “hubristic” clue. Hedonism (the devotion to sensual pleasures and their pursuit) and jubilation (the state of rejoicing) are off-topic. Finally, while an arrogant person might desire profit, so might anyone else. The sentence would need to include a clue more specifically about money for profit to be the right answer.
