My name is suresh and I have completed my BE Computer Science from university of pune in the year 2011. I wanted to do MS from a good US university for which I need to take GRE exam. Taking GRE was was a challenge for me as my english is not that good. I was aware of GRE but had no idea what it really based on and that's the reason why I decided to go with some GRE classes. I joined a well known GRE class in pune where almost all the batches were full and only few seats were left so I didn't took much time and joined them. I started going classes but it was not helping me much as there around 90 students in a class which were little distracting. To clearing doubts of every student was not possible in that short time. There were no separate doubt clearing sessions which they used to offer at the time of admission. After completing my classes I thought to give GRE but from inside I was not sure that I would success. Finally I gave GRE and scored very poor score i.e, 293 which is not at all good to get into a good university. At the same time I was working with a Software company and it was so difficult to manage studies and job simultaneously but I had no option, After giving my first attempt I waited for 1 year as I was still not sure that I could do.
Suddenly I again made my self ready for taking GRE and Joined
Jamboree Education for GRE coaching. From the first day at Jamboree I started realising that GRE doesn't tests your english but your reasoning ability. The Tricks and Tactics taught by Jamboree's GRE faculties were so effective. By the time I understood the concepts, logics of the GRE, I understood how the GRE questions are built to play with the Student's mind and psychology. I understood that GRE questions are not difficult but they are just tricky. The only thing that we need is time management and focus. The Study materials they provide are well designed and also proved to be helpful in gaining confidence. The word lists they provide are grouped with the similar meaning which helps in remembering words by Context and meaning. They provides around 2-3 books along with the GRE official Guide provided by ETS. They provide 8-10 online tests which helps you to analyse yourself. The strength of class is also small which doesn't cause any distraction and also helpful for doubt clearing. Most Important part of my GRE experience I had at Jamboree is the Faculty's kind behaviour, at some point I felt like they are more serious about my exam than me
. On every class they start with doubts clearing and ends with the assignments. The assignments really helps to motivate and keeps you connected with GRE which is very obvious issue with working professionals.
I just want to share my experience with you people so that you can get a proper coaching instead of doing experiments with joining some unworthy classes and wasting money. I have given my GRE and scored 310 now but I am going to give another attempt to get some more and the expected score is around 315-317 as per practice tests.
Below are the some good points about jamboree pune as per my experience :
