let's say b=9/100 which is less than 1
and a =10 which is divisible by 2
in this case
a*b=10*9/100 =0.9 >1/2 (0.5)

if this case is true than the answer must be D.

can someone tell if i am making any mistake here.

Lets use some logic:
a=some even integer
So a can be expressed as:
a=2k
now lets plug that into the inequality:
\(0<b(2k)<1\)
divide both sides by 2k:
\(0<b<\frac{1}{2k}\)
We can see that k cannot equal 0, so b will have the highest values when k=1
if k=1:
\(0<b<\frac{1}{2}\)
So b is always less than 1/2, even when maximized.
QB>QA, always so B is the correct choice
