You just need to plug in the values , checking with the conditions .
Let say you have there AD = 3; PS = 4 . And , AB = 5 UNITS and PQ = 4 units. use Pythagoras theorem to find the height of the parallelogram as it gives the height as 4 units. So A -> 1/2 * 4 * 3 = 6 sq units
B-> 4 * 4 16 square units . Hence Quantity B is greater .
Let say you have there AD = 3; PS = 4 . And , AB = 5 UNITS and PQ = 4 units. use Pythagoras theorem to find the height of the parallelogram as it gives the height as 4 units. So A -> 1/2 * 4 * 3 = 6 sq units
B-> 4 * 4 16 square units . Hence Quantity B is greater .

I don't think you'll need Pythagoras theorem to get the height. Since, BR || AS, QP = RS is the height for ABCD. Also, how are you using the Pythagoras theorem? Because the base of the resulting right angle triangle needn't be = 3.
