Hello Sandy, but if we assume x = -2, the answer for A will be 4. Why is D the answer?

Hello Sandy, but if we assume x = -2, the answer for A will be 4. Why is D the answer?
If you assume x=-2 then Quanity A is -2.
Also\(x^2 - 2x = 0\) is not satified by -2. So make no sense to assume x=-2.
