Theory: Discriminant of a Quadratic equation a\(x^2\) + bx + c = 0 is \(b^2\) - 4ac
Quantity A: The Discriminant of \(x^2+x+1=0\)
Comparing it with a\(x^2\) + bx + c = 0 we get
a=1, b=1, c=1
=> Discriminant = \(b^2\) - 4ac = \(1^2\) - 4*1*1 = 1-4 = -3
Quantity B: The Discriminant of \(x^2-x+1=0\)
Comparing it with a\(x^2\) + bx + c = 0 we get
a=1, b=-1, c=1
=> Discriminant = \(b^2\) - 4ac = \((-1)^2\) - 4*1*1 = 1-4 = -3
=> Quantity A = Quantity B = -3
So, Answer will be C
