lets consider radius is 4= so diameter is 8. [u]diameter is the largest chord in a circle and it passes through the centre of the circle. under this rule, the circumference is 8*3.14=25.12
now as ab is the is the diameter , it will be 8 and other two chords must be less than diameter. we can use 7.99 as the length of each small chords.
so 7.9+7.9+8=23.8
hence A is greater

However, when it says "lengths of chords", does not it mean curved line length? not straight line?
