We aren't told anything about x, y and z other than the fact that they're all negative integers.
So, let's test some values of x, y, and z
Try x = -1, y = -1 and z = -1
We get:
Quantity A: (-1)(-1)(-1) = -1
Quantity B: (-1) + (-1) + (-1) = -3
In this case, QUANTITY A is greater
Now try x = -1, y = -2 and z = -3
We get:
Quantity A: (-1)(-2)(-3) = -6
Quantity B: (-1) + (-2) + (-3) = -6
In this case, QUANTITY A and QUANTITY B are equal
Answer: D

In these kinds of question. The approach that can be handy is as below.
Try to substitute some values, which sometimes makes A as large and sometimes B as large.
scenario 1 : x= -0.5, y= -1, z= -2
A = -1, B = -3.5
A is greater
Scenario 2 : x = -2, y= -2, z = -2
A = -8, B= -6
B is greater
We do not have definite answer whether A is greater or B is greater. Hence, D is the Answer.
