This is a question about % increase or decrease

The ratio is just another way to calculate the two percentages

What if the number of Males remains the same and number of female decreases then answer should be D

It depends how much is the decrease.

If the female back to 3 from 4 the ratio is the same BUT if decrease to 1 the A is the answer.

But because we are dealing with absolute numbers, we do KNOW how much is the decrease then and now, we will know the answer.

The decrease is certain NOT a possible range

Hello, can you clarify what the absolute numbers are stated in the problem? The problem simply says, "ratio" but does not appear to actually give numbers.
