150 = 2*3*5*5
Maximum is 7

The number of distinct prime factors in 84...
\(84=2*2*3*7=2^2*3*7\), so THREE prime factors

The number of distinct prime factors in 150
\(150=2*3*5*5=2*3*5^2\), so THREE prime factors

so both equal

C

you are reading the question wrongly..
we are looking for the number of DISTINCT prime factors.
