The Definitive GRE Vocabulary Masterclass
As we announced this groundbreaking work
here, the day of its final release is coming.
After around a year of hard work, collecting words, and puzzling ideas about how to set up in the most straightforward yet effective manner for the GRE students. Let me tell you straight one thing, regardless whether it will be a success or a gargantuan (notice already the vocabulary mood

) failure, no matter what if it used by the students or not, independently if it is NOT perfect and criticized by the most: I and
VibhuAnurag are proud of all these efforts. And, consequently, of the final result.
I'll delve into this vocabulary masterclass in a more general way and in a peculiar way.
The general side is:
- We do have TWO vocabulary lists. One, which is also the only list you should need for the GRE, contains 3,000 (three thousand) words linked to practice questions on the forum.
- And the second one contains 7,000 (seven thousand) words linked to practice questions (NOT ALL though) on the forum.
The specific way is the features that our list has to it, and no other lists for the GRE have had before:
- Every single word, essentially, is linked to the https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary for a full grasp of the meaning and definition;
- Root of the word: no other list I have ever seen had the root of the word itself, which is crucial when you do not know its meaning during the exam. However, using the root or the prefix, you could easily come up with the sense of the word. See also my GRE - GENERAL ROOTS AND PREFIXES;
- Category: what does the word stand for: For example, ameliorate is, actually, a word for a solution or remedy. You have, immediately, at a glance, the idea of the word itself;
- Meaning: to grasp immediately the meaning of the word and its function;
- Synonyms & Antonyms
- Frequency: Well, this is probably the best part of the lists. We have created a script, thanks to 3 AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity) to scan all the possible words for the GRE and the probability they will appear during the real exam. Thanks to it we scanned the internet far and wide. The probability the word will occur is pretty close. We trust in that;
- Practice Questions: We believed since the inception of the idea of these lists that words in context in a sentence or words used during a movie scene were effective for the GRE students, but NOT enough. It turns out that we linked the words to the questions and sentences we posted on the forum over the years. Not only will you see a word in context, but also how it works inside the dynamic of a sentence for the GRE.
Further key points to have in mind
1. I have granted view access to anyone who has the link. No permission is required to view. However, please note that no one can edit/download the sheet, as this is to prevent possible plagiarism issues.
2. The main REASON for this sheet is that it is a one-stop shop for GRE vocab. Nothing alike exists. It is the most detailed, comprehensive, flexible (students can create temporary filters as needed), and user-friendly sheet we have ever created for the GRE. We are offering access for free so that everyone can benefit!
We are eager to share this massive work, free of charge, with GRE students. Feedback is welcome. Positive criticism is welcome, too. However, please refrain from comments or attacks such as 'it's a waste of time,' 'it's nothing special,' or similar remarks at this level. Folks, if you don't like it or think it's not valuable to you, feel free to skip it and move on.
