The following statements must be true based on the inequality "a > x > y":

1. a > 0
2. x > -y

So, both "a > 0" and "x > -y" are correct. However, "a^2x ≥ a^2y" is not necessarily true based solely on the given inequality.

Great problem to apply process of elimination, since it is a MUST be true.

A) Nope. Consider a=-1, x=-2, y=-3.
B) Nope. Consider the same x=-2 and y=-3.
Since A and B are out, C must be true (since it requires an answer).
