Since the 3 numbers are even consecutive nos. so the arithmetic mean will also be a even number, so only option will be 28, because it cannot be 24 nor 32 both are extreme end.
Moreover let us take out the possibilities of choosing the numbers:
24, 26 , 28
26, 28, 30
28, 30, 32
Therefore it can be seen that the middle number will be the Arithmetic mean and in the first case it is 26, in 2nd case it is 28 and third case it is 32 (we can omit division by three because the mean of three nos. will be the middle number).
Hence option D
