Online there are different versions of this question

I was wondering why the students have on forum 10,000 questions from good sources and they still go online in some obscure angle to pick up a question that does not have neither the answers in increasing or decreasing order, Messed up. Just from that is not a good question

Not sure what "Alligation method" is ??

However
Let # of mango = m
let # of guava = n
65m + 45n = 560
m + n = 10

Solving for m and n gives fractional values, so is the question correct?

Are the equations correct in my previous post? Solving them gives fractional values of fruits which doesn't make sense.

The Values aren't correct, but you can expect to see such questions/concepts on your GRE with obviously correct values.

It's a bad question.

We have:
65M + 45G = 560
M + G = 10

Solve to get: M = 5.5 and G = 4.5
Yuck!
