In the above figure(in the url) the line in red is the diagonal that we are asked to find and is called as body diagonal.

We can find the body diagonal by knowing the height and the normal diagonal of the cube. i.e. the blue line on the above figure

Thus, using Pythagoras theorem on length and breadth
\(6^2+8^2\)=100

Therefore the normal diagonal of one side is 10.

Now, using the height and the above diagonal,
\(10^2+10^2\)=200=10\(\sqrt{2}
\)
