the factors of +5 are 1 and 5 or -1 and -5.
we have been provided with the factors for the given eqn and among the two factors one of them is \((x+1)\) therefore the other factor must be \((x+5)\) and not \((x-5)\) therefore the value of c = 5.
If you expand the two factors by multiplying and compare it with the given eqn k = 6.
\((x+1)(x+5) = x^2 +5x +x + 5 = x^2 +6x+5\) where k=6
