If s and t are positive integers and s/t = 39.12, then which one of the following could t equal?
When it comes to division, the remainder/divisor = decimal leftover as a fraction. Thus, we know that whatever t is, it must be capable of creating a fraction equivalent to 12/100.
Reduce 12/100 to its lowest terms by factoring out a 4, which results in 3/25. The only choice that is a multiple of 25, is 75. Select Choice E.
