The given line has an equation of \(3y = 2x +6\)
Any line that intersects the x-axis at a point (a,b) will have a y-coordinate (b) as 0.

So we can simply put y = 0 in the equation, and get the value of x.
    3 × 0 = 2x +6
    2x = -6
    x = - 3

So the point (a, b) will be (-3, 0)

The answer is option A. (-3)
