Hard means a range between 3.5 and 5

Maybe what is easy for you is hard for someone else :) ;)

Given that When M is divided by S, the quotient is V and the remainder is 1 and we need to find the value of M

Theory: Dividend = Divisor*Quotient + Remainder

When M is divided by S, the quotient is V and the remainder is 1

M-> Dividend
S -> Divisor
V -> Quotient
1 -> Remainders
=> M = S*V + 1 = SV + 1

So, Answer will be C
