For this fundamental principal of counting can be used.
There are 3 slots: 1st for entree, 2nd for main course and 3rd for dessert.
There are 2 option for the 1st slot, 3 option for the 2nd slot and 3 option for the 3rd slot.
Therefore 2*3*3 = 18 is the combination for various type of dinner set
