Got it totally wrong. Here how I tried solving it
No of books sold during the month = x
Royalty received = $540
If 200 more books were sold than royalty will be $60 more than current level i.e. x + 200 = 540 + 60
Upon solving I got x = 400 books sold during the month and it's not even a option

We know that 200 copies can generate 60$; we have to find how many books have generated 540$.
Simply divide 60/200 which is equal to 0.3. So this is the amount that is generated by one book. Now divided 540/0.3 which is equal to 1800.
Hence 1800 Books can generate 540$ reality.
Answer: C
