I believe the Qs should be - 4 of them study both the cooking and yoga ONLY and How many people study both cooking and weaving ONLY
Other wise we can have a different answers.

Refer to the figures below:

Case I: 4 of them study both the cooking and yoga ONLY
Cooking = Cooking only + Cooking and Yoga only + Cooking and Weaving only + All three
10 = 3 + 4 + Cooking and Weaving only + 2
Cooking and Weaving only = 1
Cooking and Weaving = All three + Cooking and Weaving only = 2 + 1 = 3

Case II: 4 of them study both the cooking and yoga
Cooking = Cooking only + Cooking and Yoga only + Cooking and Weaving only + All three
10 = 3 + 2 + Cooking and Weaving only + 2
Cooking and Weaving only = 3
Cooking and Weaving = All three + Cooking and Weaving only = 2 + 3 = 5

Just make a venn diagram and you are all set to get it correct.

Both cooking and weaving = 10 - (3+4+2) = 1

So, the correct answer is A.

Carcass sir, as per question: How many people study both cooking and weaving?

people study both cooking and weaving = 5

people study both cooking and weaving only = 1

what is the correct question ?

a possible shortcut could be that we have three courses

Y+W+C=2 we do know that 2 people take all of the three

However, we are looking for W+C

W+C=2-Y so we need Y

Y cannot be zero (would not much sense) therefore Y is not zero itself or 2. Y must be 1

A is the answer
