William salary = 100W
Kim Salary = 100K
After hike William salary = 100W * 1.1 * 1.2 = 132W
After hike Kim salary = 100K * 1.1 = 110K
110K = 132W
W = 10K/12
Initial
100K - 100W = 30000
K - W = 300
K - 10K/12 = 300
2K = 3600
So 110K = 198000
Am I missing something ?

I keep re-working this question and getting 198,000 as the solution. However, the book says the answer is C. The only way I can obtain C as the correct answer is if the original question is wrong and that William's final salary is only 60% of Kim's and not equal to Kim's. Does anyone know if this question has a typo?
