Let us first check the consumption in 2010 in residential usage, it is 50 billions
So half of it that is 25 is consumed by efficient appliances.
But the efficiency is 35%, so (100-35)%=25...
\(T=\frac{25*100}{65}\)..
Now saved is 35% of total so \(\frac{25*100}{65}*\frac{35}{100}=\frac{25*35}{65}\) 35/65 is slightly greater than 1/2 so >25*1/2=12.5
So our answer is JUST greater than 12.5

so Water consumption is reduced by 35%, so if initially it was T, now it is \(T*\frac{100-35}{100}\)..
so \(T*\frac{65}{100}=25......T=\frac{25*100}{65}\)
