I disagree with your explanation. It is clearly stated that the amount of sugar for each category is calculated differently. For example, sugar is calculated for 500gm of bubblegum but 1200gm of cookies.

Don't you think because of this distinction we can not compare the sugar quantities of two categories?

Aside of the wording of the problem, basically, the problem asks you which is the longest bar among those.

That's it.

The students should boil down what the problem asking for.
