I wanted to know how exactly different universities view receiving multiple GRE scores. I scored considerably better on my second attempt than on my first one, but I had sent my scores to a few universities the first time itself (stupidly I might add, thank you Score reporting). I plan on applying to the same universities with my improved score, and I wanted to know how this would be viewed by said universities (specifically UC San Diego, UC Irvine, Texas A M U and University of Illinois Urbana Champaign). The blog posts I've found on the topic have been vague and outdated at best. If anyone could shed some light on this, that would be really helpful. Thank you.
Hi mayank1692,
You can send you latest scores to the colleges they will consider the scores you report with your application. In the ETS score reporting system you can select your most recent score. Most MS programs do not keep an extensive record of previous MS Applications, furthermore there is nothing wrong in applying with your best score.
