Re: Easy, Medium and Hard questions on the test

Hi,
answering to your question is almost impossible, if not.
Actually, you answer the first part of the test (both quant and verbal) and base on how many questions you pick right or wrong the second part will be harder. As a matter of fact, the second part will be hard to the extent that roughly 40 or 50 % of the students that reach THIS threshold (i.e answering the first part good) in the second part can answer correctly.
Indeed, the GRE test rather than GMAT, which is a pure CAT test where the next question is harder or easier, you do not know if you are doing well or not.
For example, during the verbal part of the GMAT test whether you see a bold face question in front of you, then you do know more or less that you are in the high score zone of the test; though you do not know precisely your score. In the end you can have 680 or 710. who knows. Take this with a grain of salt: I am saying this to give you an idea. Just for sake.
During the GRE all this is unknown to you, because your CAT test is tailored NOT on every question but on an entire battery of questions.
Be aware that on the contrary of the GMAT, GRE is a test especially conceived to test native and non native speakers on their language skill. Math is important, but not as much as is the verbal part. In that sense GMAT, for instance, is more balanced, in terms of skills and tested contents.
Hope this help. Good Luck with your test
