I gave my 1st attempt of GMAT offline on 23rd Oct with almost 2.5 months prep and got a very disappointing 530 (V 27, Q 36).
Now I'm very confused, underconfident and scared. I was thinking of trying GRE so I gave a Kaplan GRE CAT yesterday after not studying anything since the GMAT test and got 304 (Q 158, V 146) but this mock was not given in real test circumstances as I wasn't fully focused and took it lightly. I did notice that I was much comfortable with GRE quant than GMAT quant but since I didn't study any vocabulary, the verbal score is bad. I converted this GRE score using the ETS converter and this GRE score is equivalent to GMAT 530. I have to give either of the exam by latest Jan 1st week 2022 so I have roughly 2 months.
What will you suggest? Please help!

Hey Nis20

It's good that you are thinking about GRE. Now first I would suggest that you take a diagnostic test in the exact test environment. Then you will have a better idea. Take 1-2 days off and then give a proper diagnostic test.

Two months is ample time to crack the GRE. Wander around in this forum. We have plenty to offer.
Feel free to ask any doubts.

So should I study some vocabulary before or just give the mock with my current knowledge? Also which diagnostic test should I give?

Hi There!

I would second rx10, what you can also do it set a few days, maybe 10-15 considering the intake you want to apply in and go through the topics ETS tests, get an overview and then attempt the mock test. Doing this you'll know your strengths, weakness given the amount of time you spent to study the topic.

Yes.

After studying about 60 words, and doing almost nothing in Quants, I gave Powerprep Practice test and got 305 (Q 158, V 147). Q is same as the Kaplan test which I took before starting with GRE, but Verbal has 1 point increment.
I bought 5lb Manhattan and OG 3rd edition and I am using Galvanize app for vocabulary. I tried Magoosh app but I can't remember the words so I use galvanize which has visual and synonyms too.

Please tell me how to improve the verbal significantly. Upon seeing what type of questions I am getting wrong, it's either RC which I couldn't grasp or I didn't have a clue about meaning of words. I think only practice and learning vocab is the key but is 1 month enough to go to 320+ ??
